Building with the HTML editor
On CubeBrick, we use HTML to make games, with a game template being up for download on the create page. The entire client is in HTML and Javascript, and kids can learn or test their skills on HTML by making a game with our HTML editor!
Block Based Coding
CubeBrick offers two coding languages, HTML for more skilled developers, and block coding for people who excel in it. We have a multitude of templates for block coding, these can be edited on Scratch and on Turbowarp. Although could be used on our built in Editor using Turbowarp's source.
Benefits include:
- Easier for Kids – Most kids learn how to code with blocks at a young age, usually at 11. This means many can create games if they really wanted to post them and earn money.
- Import/Link projects – People are allowed to link projects from scratch, they are to email [email protected] or message an administrator to have it up onsite.
Cons include:
- Limitations – Block coding has limitations and therefore you cannot make as many high-quality games unless you take the time to work on one for months.
- No Multiplayer – Some games might be embedded onto the site directly from scratch, this prevents the use of multiplayer and users being able to play with each other.
